LMS News

The Hempfield Foundation is asking members of our community to share their thoughts about the Hempfield Foundation by completing the 2026 Hempfield Foundation Stakeholder Survey.

Please take a few minutes to complete the survey at https://forms.gle/tqigUPogzgjUFwNA

Whether you are a parent, student, educator, alumnus, local business owner, community partner, or supporter of Hempfield, your feedback is important. Your responses will help us better understand our community’s priorities and identify new opportunities to strengthen the Hempfield Foundation's impact. Thank you for taking the time to share your perspective and for supporting the Hempfield Foundation. Together, we can continue to create meaningful opportunities for students and educators throughout our community.

LMS Week At A Glance

Hello Parents of LMS Students,

We had a week packed with different things at LMS, from the CTC trip and 7th grade health screenings early in the week to our IMPACT Day events on Friday.  It was an eventful week at LMS!

A letter was sent home with all students today about the need for additional JA Day volunteers. We are still in need of 8 additional volunteers and I am hopeful that sending the letter home will help us to fill those spots. If you are interested in volunteering, see the flyer for more information.  There is a link on the flyer to register as a volunteer.  This information is also on our LMS Website.  All of the same information I have been providing in this weekly is in the letter that was sent home today.

We are trying something new this year as part of having an LMS PTO.  On October 16, the night of the Harvest Dance, we will have the Big Back Burgers food truck at LMS from 5:30 - 7:00 pm.  They will be donating 10% of any profit they make to the LMS PTO.  They serve smash burgers, turkey burgers, hot dogs, chips, french fries and soda. Administration will be present to supervise outside the cafeteria during this time and we are hopeful that you might consider having your kids eat here that evening and perhaps even grabbing something to eat yourselves when you drop them off. The doors to enter the school for the dance will not open until 7:00 pm.  If this goes well we may continue to try to offer things like this in the future.

PTO Fundraisers Information

  • Another PTO Fundraiser event will be on November 7 at Tropical Smoothie Cafe. We are looking to offer one of these events each month. Stay tuned for additional information!
