LMS Week At A Glance

Hello Parents of LMS Students,

We had another great week at LMS, and have a busy week ahead with Firefly testing in Math, Science, and ELA. We will run a two hour delay schedule on March 3, 4 and 5 - and administer the Firefly assessments during those two hour time slots. Firefly assessments are a good predictor of how students will perform on the PSSA’s and help us to identify areas of the content that we can focus our attention on heading toward the end of the school year.

On March 11 we will hosting our annual JA Day.  We are in need of additional volunteers to make this day as meaningful as possible.  Please see below for details about JA Day and the YES! Program:

Junior Achievement of South Central PA will be at LMS with their YES! program from approximately 7:30am to 11:00am on Wednesday, March 11th.  We are still in need of about 5 more volunteers to make this day a success.  All students will participate in activities to help them gain an appreciation for the importance that financial and career decisions will play in their lives as young adults.

Volunteers will facilitate 1 activity four times during the morning with small groups of students.  JA will provide training the morning of the event and as soon as you sign up you will receive a link to both written instructions and a brief training video. You do not need to have any specific background or other training to help. School clearances are not required for this one-day event. The school will provide a light breakfast.

If you are interested in volunteering on this day, click on the link to the flyer or contact Shannon Baker at JA at Sbaker@jascpa.org.

I hope you had a great weekend!
